Diagnostic and Migration Disclaimer
Diagnostic and Migration Disclaimer
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Linux Migration Tool provides informational diagnostics, compatibility estimates, and migration-planning guidance. It is not a guarantee that a distribution, driver, game, application, printer, Wi-Fi adapter, GPU, or other device will work on your exact computer.
Catalog entries and external sources may be incomplete, outdated, temporarily unavailable, or inaccurate. An unavailable result means the available evidence did not establish support; it is not necessarily proof of incompatibility. A high score does not guarantee performance, stability, data preservation, or a successful installation.
Before making changes, back up important files, verify recovery media, confirm the exact target disk, and test the intended distribution from a live USB. Do not proceed if critical hardware or required applications have not been tested. Destructive operations must be reviewed and approved by the user; do not assume a diagnostic report has performed or authorized them.
Distribution names and third-party services are referenced for information only. Their respective owners are responsible for their products, websites, packages, and support. Linux Migration Tool is not an official tool of any distribution or third-party software vendor.
Nothing in this disclaimer limits rights or liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law.
